    KINE 2150 - Aquatic Conditioning II


    Prerequisites: KINE 1150 or instructor approval

    This course is a continuation of Aquatic Conditioning I and is for advanced lap swimmers, master swimmers, tri-athletes, and competitive swimmers. Customized workouts will be designed and utilized to improve swim performance; additional areas such as nutrition, incorporating weight training and stretching will be covered. Stroke analysis will be conducted for improved stroke efficiency.

    This course includes instruction beyond the Swimming I level. Instruction includes front and back crawl, sidestroke, breaststroke, elementary backstroke and butterfly. Additional deep water skills and basic water safety is included. Students who enroll in this class should be comfortable in deep water and have the ability to swim the front crawl stroke for a distance of 25 yards.
