BMGT 4374 - Seminar in Business Operations Management
Provides an overview of the gains from trade, exchange rates, international trade policy, and business policy as applied to the nation state. Emphasis placed on monetary, fiscal, social, and industrial policies as they relate to strategic decision-making. Addresses antitrust law for the purpose of managing the risks associated with pricing decisions, vertical agreements, and horizontal acquisition. Instilling a vision, adhering to a value system, and aligning human resources and intangible assets to obtain a competitive advantage will be covered. Using a balanced scorecard to assess organizational performance and strategic implications of cross-national models of corporate governance will be studied.
