Horticultural Sciences, A.A.S.


The Horticultural Sciences A.A.S. is designed for the student entering the field of landscaping and for the professional who wants to expand his or her knowledge in the field. Emphasis is placed on plant identification, care of landscaping plants and the hands-on application of skills learned in the program.

The degree and certificate programs are designed for the student entering the field of landscaping and for the professional who wants to expand his or her knowledge in the field. Emphasis is placed on the commercial application of skills learned in the program.  Employment for graduating students of this program may be available in landscaping businesses (independent and corporate), residential complexes (apartment and residential organizations), parks and recreational facilities. Positions include but are not limited to superintendents, management and sales.

This program is fully accredited by the Professional Landcare Network (PLANET).
