Nurse Aide Occupational Skills Award

The Nurse Aide OSA provides nursing students with the skills to work as an unlicensed nurse aide or patient care aide and the experiential knowledge to meet state educational requirements for nurse aides (60 hours classroom/didactic and 40 clinical hours).  The first four courses of the Nursing A.A.S. Program are aligned to the nurse aide requirements and allow students the opportunity to obtain certification as well as employment while in the Nursing A.A.S. Program. The OSA does not guarantee passage of the state nurse aide certification examination.

This award is designed only for students who have been admitted to the Nursing A.A.S. Program at Palo Alto College.
