Criminal Justice with a Concentration in Legal Studies, A.A.

The Criminal Justice degree with a concentration in legal studies prepares those students who are pursuing a career as a prosecuting attorney, defense attorney, judge, paralegal, or legal assistant in the criminal justice field. This 60-hour degree requires the completion of a 45-hour core curriculum, designed to provide the student with a broad liberal arts foundation, additional Criminal Justice course requirements and a Technical Writing course. All courses will transfer to any public four-year institution in Texas that offers either a BS or BA degree in Criminal Justice. Students who are intending to transfer to a four-year institution must seek advisement with a Criminal Justice Program Advisor, on transfer agreements with specific universities.
