Accountants communicate critical financial information to company stakeholders and ensure that businesses are run efficiently and effectively.  The demand for accountants is growing and is expected to continue this growth into the foreseeable future.  The Associate of Science in Accounting degree from Palo Alto College is transferrable to a four-year university and can be applied toward a B.B.A. in Accounting or a B.S. in Accounting.  With a four-year degree in accounting, the graduate will be able to find work in any one of four accounting areas:  Public Accounting, Managerial Accounting, Internal Accounting, and Governmental Accounting.

Natural Sciences (7 Hours)


Select 2 courses from the Natural Sciences (30) Core 

Humanities and Visual/Performing Arts (9 Hours)


Select 1 course from the Humanities (40) Core 
Select 1 course from the Additional Humanities (41) Core 
Select 1 course from the Visual and Performing Arts (50) Core 

Kinesiology/Dance (2 Hours)


Two hours required from the Kinesiology (90) Core
