HITT 2379 - Introduction to Organizational Development and Supervision for Health Care Administration
This course introduces students to the principles of organizational development (OD) and supervisory practices within health care settings. Emphasis is placed on understanding how health care organizations function, how supervisors support staff and operations, and how organizational development strategies improve performance, culture, and patient outcomes. Students will explore leadership styles, communication strategies, team dynamics, and change management-all through the lens of health care administration. No prior technical or management experience is required. By the end of the course, students will be able to recognize the role of supervision in organizational success, apply basic OD concepts to health care scenarios, and communicate effectively as emerging leaders.
