GEOL 1401 - Earth Sciences for Non-Science Majors I Integrated Reading & Writing Basic Skills Prerequisite: INRW 0420
Math Basic Skills Prerequisite: MATH 0410 Topics include the nature of the earth as revealed by geology, astronomy, meteorology, oceanography, and other related physical sciences. The laboratory component supports the lecture and includes activities that cover methods used to collect and analyze data in geology, meterorology, oceanography, and astronomy. Some field trips may be included.
This course fulfills the Life and Physical Sciences foundational component area of the core and addresses the following required objectives: Critical Thinking, Communication, Empirical Quantitative Skills, and Teamwork.
