ENGT 1401 - Circuits I for Engineering TechnologyPrerequisites: MATH 1314 or equivalent Principles of direct current electricity and their application to series, parallel, series-parallel circuitry including Ohm's Law, Kirchoff's Laws, batteries, resistance, capacitance, inductance, magnetism, and electro-magnetism. Topics include Node-voltage and Mesh-current analysis; Thevenins, Nortons, maximum power transfer, source transformation, and Superposition theorems applied to electrical circuits. Electrical test and measurements instruments and their implementation will be covered. Use of computer software PSPICE and MATLAB for circuit analysis will be introduced.
