Robert Garza, Ph.D
On behalf of the faculty and staff, I would like to welcome you to Palo Alto College! The start of a new year always brings renewed enthusiasm and excitement as we come back together to fulfill our personal goals of becoming a better version of ourselves.
Many of you are coming to college for the first time, and may even be the first in your family to attend college. Some of you may be returning to our college or finding your way back after a long absence. The past year has brought unprecedented challenges for us all, but the fact you have enrolled in college to pursue your education shows your resilience in pursuit of your goals.
You are likely navigating your way as a college student while balancing life, family, and finances, as well as taking classes either online or in person. This is a lot to handle and may even feel intimidating. We want to assure you that every employee is committed to keeping students first and is available to help you achieve success. As you embark on your semester, I encourage you to reach out for support by contacting your instructors or taking advantage of our campus resources that can be found in this catalog. Enhance your college experience and connect with your peers by attending either virtual and in-person events, getting involved in Student Life, or participating in campus recreation, and wellness activities. These learning opportunities from your courses and beyond will help you acquire skills to help you achieve long-term success and develop life-long friendships with your classmates.
We are so proud that you have chosen to become a Palomino. We invite you to stay up to date with all of our events and student activities by following us on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. You are joining a rich history of previous students, alumni, faculty, and staff who have been part of this special place. Thank you and we wish you a great year of academic and personal success!
In service and PAC proud,
Robert Garza, Ph.D.
President of Palo Alto College
