The AA in Art degree offers coursework that is designed for students planning to transfer to a four-year university or art school to major or minor in Art, and will also benefit any student planning to pursue an art-related position, including: independent studio artist, production artist, teacher, illustrator, photographer, museum or gallery employee, advertising artist, graphic designer, or arts administrator. The coursework offered meets the recommended transfer curriculum of the Texas Association of Schools of Art (TASA).

Courses from the Additional Requirements area may not be used to satisfy Core Curriculum requirements.
* Art History I and II are non-sequential and can be taken in any order. Courses taken to satisfy the concentration area may not be applied to the core.
**It is the responsibility of the student to meet with an advisor in order to check with Upper Division transfer institution for verification of transfer of credit into their program. Some second-level studios may not transfer but may help the student in portfolio development required for transfer.
